Naples Performing Arts Center

The Naples Performing Arts Center is the definitive theater in the city. Known primarily for its grand theatrical productions and musicals, the center also houses low-key events and local showcases.

The biggest number for the winter season of 2019 was Matilda, a re-envisioning of the classic Roald Dahl children’s story. Other shows, like Newsies and Frozen Jr., are in steady rotation. But the center is also warm and welcoming to locals offering instructions, like dance classes and acting courses. One of the most popular series for the center is the Starlight Showcase. Students and other locals will display their skills in music, dance, singing, and other art forms right on stage. The starlight series is semi-formal, open to the public, and a fantastic entry point for the talent of Naples.

The Naples Performing Arts Center is undoubtedly the city’s best place to see a fantastic show. Visit the website for more on acting classes, improv showcases, voice or piano lessons, and more.

BURN

Rocky Patel has orchestrated an invigorating mix of two distinctly different atmospheres. Both a cigar club and one of Naples best night clubs, BURN marries the soothing with the eclectic for a neon-soaked cigar club and lounge.

It’s utterly captivating and a very different beast from the traditional performing arts center. BURN bursts with energy.

While you can certainly lounge back and smack a cigar over a fresh cocktail, it is the entertainment that keeps you engaged and drawn to the mood. The website displays a monthly list of special events. These may include live singing, a DJ showcase, jazz, comedy, and more. Aura Live at BURN is a weekly Tuesday night feature for the winter while Diana Landa is booked in for every Friday. Both are soulful pop singers and musicians.

Settle in for a captivating evening of music in an environment perfectly balancing cigar jazz lounge with dazzling neon night club.

It is located at 9110 Strada Place, Suite 6160. BURN is open from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. every day.

Artis

Artis is an incredible venue. Known for its classic atmosphere, large-scale shows, and dedication to local musicians, Artis is a bonafide powerhouse in performance art. And this is not an understatement. Any given night you can catch a local showcase or a riveting national act. This includes a number of Broadway touring shows, like the modern legend, Hamilton.

You can catch performances by local youth choruses, a showcase from the Naples Philharmonic Masterworks, the Naples Philharmonic Wang Chamber, as well as a rotating cycle of philharmonic master leaders bringing out their own special talents for a one-off performance.

Aside from orchestral shows, you can catch ballet (the Nutcracker) street dance (Hubbard Street Dance Group from Chicago) and jazz (Carla Cook). These are just a few of the acts from the winter season, giving you a brief primer for what you can expect any given time of the year.

Dogtooth Sports and Music Bar

This classic-styled Florida sports bar is filled with charm. Sports enthusiasts will marvel at the décor and energy of the small music bar. Every Tuesday you can catch the Mudbone Blues and Beyond Jam, alongside other weekly favorites in rock, jazz, and country.
